Riding School Inspections
All riding establishments (defined as those which offer any form of riding in return for payment) are required by law to be licensed. The licensing procedure is overseen by each Local Authority, and involves detailed annual inspections carried out by trained equine vets, with the focus rightly on welfare.
Rebecca Hamilton-Fletcher is on the RCVS list of inspectors, working for a number of the local authorities in the surrounding counties.
Rebecca Hamilton-Fletcher is also on the RCVS Riding Establishment Sub-Committee; she is involved with the training of new inspectors, and the organisation and running of annual refresher courses for the established inspectorate.
